We got the assignment to make a design with at it's core the concept of 'permeability', which means going on or going through.
After the process of studying clay, metal and ice as a material, I settled on using ice and metal. I wondered how i could use water as a material for construction purposes, which would be used out in the open and continuously cycle through thawing, condensing and freezing.
As the ice slowly drips down into the pool beneath, the metal construction slowly becomes visible. As the water rises you're able to swim beneath the construction while the rest of the ice is melting. Then when the water flows away, it gathers rain and freezes throughout autumn and winter, starting the cycle anew.
